Senior School Greek A-Level students had the opportunity to visit the Cyprus Parliament and learn about it's history and works. Many thanks to Ms Natasa Charalambous for the tour and insights, and also to Mr. Theopemptou, member of the House of Representaives, who engaged our students in a discussion about current ecological issues.

Year 6 were delighted to have showcased their ideas to reduce the use of plastic waste during the Junior Achievement MindREset competition held at The Metropolis Mall, Larnaca. Our teams developed a product through a series of guided lessons; they learnt about environmental challenges, how to find solutions, to design and produce a product and finally how to market it. The children stood before a panel of judges who listened to ideas, watched the presentations and quizzed them about the process and teamwork. We would like to sincerely thank the children and their parents for their time and support.

We're thrilled to announce that Maya Angelidou Y9 has won the Gold Medal in the Kangaroo Greek Competition. We're in awe of her amazing achievement that shows her commitment to excellence! The Kangaroo Greek Competition challenges and recognises talented young minds in Greek language proficiency. Maya's linguistic skills and appreciation of Greek culture shone through her performance.

Her success isn't just her brilliance, but also reflects the support of our teachers, mentors, and parents. Together, we fostered her incredible achievement. This exceptional accomplishment brings pride to our school and inspires all our students. Strive for greatness!

Arts events started early on in December with the 'Christmas village' performance in Kalopanagiotis, where music and orchestra students performed some well-loved Christmas music and songs in the heart of the village where staff, parents and students enjoyed the musical start to the festivities. Rather than an Arts week we decided to have the ‘Arts days of Christmas’; the last 8 days of school. The Arts Captains and Art students designed and made the 'Artvent' calendar, which has been opened every morning to reveal the events for each day.

Students enjoyed a range of activities such as string art, creating interesting abstract artwork for Christmas cards. The Art for Change club and KS5 art students have been working hard to create Christmas ornaments and Christmas gifts to sell during the Arts days; all proceeds will go to charity. The Music department organised a Christmas sing-along in the hall during breaktimes, whilst some of our orchestra students visited the Irida Foundation, in collaboration with the BWB Club, spreading some Christmas cheer. 

The Arts captains organized a Christmas Charity bake sale that was a huge success. KS5 Drama students have been preparing for the ‘Christmas Specials', which will take place during breaks in the main Drama studio this coming week, where we will announce the winners of the film and photography competition and the Christmas specials. The Arts Days of Christmas have been a captivating showcase of creativity, generosity, and festive spirit!                                 

We are thrilled to share with you the incredible experience our Sports School students and A-Level PE students had during a recent day trip organised by our Senior School PE department. This special outing provided them with the opportunity to learn and engage in the exhilarating sport of Padel!We look forward to more exciting sporting opportunities in the future!

Ariel, a Year 6 student at The Junior & Senior School, recently took an assessment for 8th & 9th graders from the USA, the PSAT 8/9, part of the College Board suite of assessments. Despite being in Year 6, he scored in the top 95th percentile of 8th graders.
This will allow him access to online courses from Stanford High School in the USA. He has also taken courses with the John Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, receiving Grand Honors for his score on the SCAT. Ariel is currently enrolled in an engineering course at Arizona State University.
