Year 6 India Day!

What an incredible way to wrap up our Year 6 topic on India! Our students immersed themselves in a vibrant celebration of Indian culture, creativity, and tradition, blending the beauty of the outdoors with some fantastic learning experiences.

Here is a glimpse of what our students got up to:

• Forest School Cooking: We took our learning outside, lighting a fire in the Forest School to cook delicious, traditional roti from scratch.

• Natural Rangoli Art: Using only natural materials found around the forest grounds, the children collaborated to design stunning, intricate Rangoli patterns.

• Bollywood Beats: The energy was electric as everyone got on their feet to learn some vibrant Bollywood dance moves!

• Origami Lotus Flowers: Showcasing their patience and precision, students crafted beautiful origami lotus flowers, which have been brought together to create a colourful Year 6 display.

• Sport: No India day would be complete without a match of cricket, India’s most popular sport.

A Very Special Guest

On the day, we were honoured and privileged to welcome a very special guest to our school: the Indian High Commissioner, Mr. Manish.

Mr. Manish kindly spent time with our students and generously gifted the school a collection of beautiful books about India. These incredible resources will be cherished by our students and staff for years to come. We are immensely grateful and indebted to the High Commission for their kindness and support in enriching our curriculum.

A massive thank you to all the staff and students who made this day so joyful, educational, and vibrant
