  • MFL Trip to the Three Countries Corner, Germany

    Published 04/07/24

The MFL department annual KS3 trip to Europe recently took place with great success. Forty-one Year 7,8 and 9 students and 4 teachers stayed in the town of Aachen on the border of Germany with Holland and Belgium. After visiting the Dutch city of Maastricht, we travelled to the Three Counties Corner and experienced walking for more than an hour through the biggest Labyrinth of Europe in search of the fourth lost country.

We enjoyed the Euro 2024 street celebrations in Düsseldorf, admired the famous Cologne Cathedral, saw the river Rhine from above from the big cologne wheel,  and learnt how chocolate is made with a special tour in the Lindt chocolate museum. Our trip could not have been complete without a visit to a theme park and the Phantasia Land theme park by the city of Brühl was a unique experience for everyone. The MFL department wishes everyone a happy summer and we are looking forward to our next year's trip to Barcelona, Spain!
