Jeans for Genes Day and International Childhood Cancer Day

On Friday, 20th February, our Junior School community came together to mark Jeans for Genes Day and International Childhood Cancer Day
Students and staff wore jeans for the “Wear What You Care” campaign, raising awareness for children and families affected by rare genetic conditions, and yellow or gold tops to symbolise hope and strength for those impacted by childhood cancer.
Through meaningful classroom activities and a whole-school drone photo sharing the message “Together, we are strong for the children,” our students demonstrated empathy, unity, and resilience. As a powerful moment of solidarity, all students joined their voices together to sing the phrase, “Think before you speak,” reminding us all of the importance of kindness, compassion, and using our words thoughtfully.
All funds raised were donated to Monadika Hamogela, Alkinoos Artemiou Foundation, and Little Heroes Foundation, supporting children with rare genetic, oncological, and haematological conditions and their families.
Together, we stand strong.
